If you have had blood tests, X-rays etc. organised here, always call us to check your results. Most tests take about a week to come back with a result, although a few take 2 weeks or longer. 

If you are phoning to find out the results of tests requested elsewhere, for instance, in hospital departments or clinics, we would always recommend you contact that department to get the result.

We do not routinely receive test results from other departments on their own; they generally inform us of results when they write to advise us of changes to treatments, or the results of a clinic visit, or similar. If we did not request the test from here in our practice, we are unlikely to have the result.
