We would like to invite you to a meeting to present a new way of monitoring your blood pressure (Florence) with Dr A Drummond Begg. 

You need to be able to use a mobile phone and preferably have your own BP machine (if not please come along and we may be able to supply you with one depending on demand) to measure your blood pressure at home.

This meeting is only for people with a diagnosis of high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease, a past history of stroke, heart disease and peripheral vascular disease i.e. people who need to have their blood pressure monitored each year.

DATE:    Thursday 27th June 2019

VENUE:   Penicuik Town Hall, 33 High Street Penicuik, EH26 8HS

TIME:     15:00 pm for a prompt start at 15:30 pm.

We are changing the way patients order their prescriptions, and as such, could you contact the practice for this service.

Saturday Morning Service

As part of the Government led extended hours initiative we provide a nursing service as well as GP appointments on a Saturday morning. Please be advised that the following are NOT available on a Saturday morning:

  • Telephone access to the Practice
  • Results
  • Blood tests

Appointments for a Saturday will be pre-booked and, as there will be no telephone access, cancellations will need to be done in advance, or by a note posted through the door. 

As before, in a life-threatening emergency dial 999 for an ambulance.  For other problems that cannot wait until the surgery reopens please contact NHS24, or go to your local pharmacist for some advice.

The Appointments Office is open Monday to Friday from 8.30 am - 6.00 pm when we will be very pleased to help you.
